Extensive research on meditation practices reveals that regular meditation has many mental, physical and emotional benefits and that there are many effective ways to meditate. This course intensive will explore the practice and the experience of various forms of meditation; breath, sound, silence and more. We’ll even explore methods to deal with resistance to meditation and helpful tips for developing a regular meditation practice. Practicing the Silence, Unity’s primary meditation practice, is fundamental to Unity teachings. Silence will be the primary meditation practice we come back to during the course. (SPD 105 Meditation Practices: 10 SEE Required Credit Hours available for those who sign up).

The Connection, Mind your body
A feature documentary about how the latest scientific research is is proving that there is a direct connection between your mind and body when it comes to your health. Discussion on the film and setting up your own meditation practice and dealing with resistance.

Explore various breath, sound and meditation practices.
Sunday, March 11 1 – 4 pm 5 Phase Meditation
Experience the unique 5 phase mediation technique and a special gong meditation to wrap up the 3 day experience.
