Greetings Beloveds:
February is the month we focus on Moments of Clarity with the affirmation:
I seek clarity in all I think, speak, and do.
Clarity is something I strive for in all my life’s experiences. In a world filled with distractions and constant motion, there are times when a deep sense of clarity emerges—a moment where everything aligns and we gain insight into our true selves, our purpose, or our path forward. These moments of clarity can feel like a sudden revelation, a peaceful stillness, or even a quiet understanding. In Unity teachings, moments of clarity are seen not only as personal breakthroughs but as spiritual awakenings that deepen our connection with the Divine and the world around us.
The core teachings of Unity suggest that moments of clarity are not random occurrences but are, instead, the natural result of aligning oneself with the higher, spiritual truths of existence. These moments of clarity arise when we step out of the chaos of the material world and tune in to our inner, divine guidance.
In Unity philosophy, clarity is not simply about intellectual understanding but a deeper, spiritual knowing. A moment of clarity is often experienced as a profound realization that transcends the mind’s limitations and connects us with a greater sense of truth, peace, or purpose. It can be an answer to a long-held question or a sudden understanding of a life situation. These moments often arrive during times of prayer, meditation, or deep reflection, when our minds are calm and our hearts are open.
Charles Fillmore, co-founder of Unity, spoke about the power of spiritual discernment—the ability to recognize truth through inner guidance. In his teachings, Fillmore emphasized that clarity is the result of cultivating an awareness of God within and recognizing the inherent good in all situations. This awareness allows us to see beyond the surface level of life’s circumstances, offering deeper insight into what is truly important.
In Unity, moments of clarity are seen as precious gifts from the Divine, a reminder that we are always guided by an inner knowing and that clarity can be found by tuning in to our spiritual truth. As we engage in practices like prayer, meditation, and affirmations, we invite more of these moments into our lives. Unity teaches us that through connecting with our inner divinity and trusting in Divine guidance, we can live with greater awareness, purpose, and peace.
So, when the clouds of confusion part and a moment of clarity arrives, embrace it as a reminder of the divine wisdom that is always within you, ready to guide you on your journey.
Blessings for your journey and may clarity guide you,
Rev. Becky
From Robert Gonzales:
I want to enter Life – authentically and compassionately. First and foremost, I develop experiential clarity. I cognitively am able to distinguish that all of the thoughts that I have , all of the evaluations that I have, all of the judgments that I have are simply an emanation of my thinking mind and how it captures me experientially when I’m lost in it. The more I can develop the clarity, the more I can distinguish and not get caught into it – and clearly observe facts as they are and not as the story I tell myself.
Clarity is the foundation for compassion and empowerment. Until I have clarity, I don’t have the inner spaciousness of heart to be able to feel into the compassionate space. Compassion emerges from clarity because it requires the space that clarity provides. It allows me to be open and vulnerable. The vulnerability creates a real strength – my authenticity. That is what empowers me to live in the way I want to live this life – authentically with clarity and compassion.
